Diagram

    Scenario 1
You are working in risk management and need to track medication administration errors and adverse events for patients over a 6-month period. You are receiving information from the inpatient areas, outpatient clinics, and home health.

Using the scenario, create a diagram of WK 3 proposed database using Microsoft Word.

  • Include the additions made in Week 4.
  • Complete the diagram first, but place it as the final page or pages of your submission. The diagram is separate from the required page count.

In the narrative portion of the assignment: 2 to 3 pages. Provide current references to support narrative.

  • Explain how your diagram articulates your planned design.
  • Explain the principles behind selecting key fields and defining relationships. Be specific and support your response with evidence.
  • Write a sample PICOT question (i.e., a query) you might ask based on the information in the database created during Weeks 3 and 4 to demonstrate your understanding of the connection between data and research.
  • List the tables in the database that you would need to include when answering your question.

customer service IP2

Transportation

This major airline had a rocky road at its start. Incorporated in 1967, it never actually started flying planes until June of 1971 because of lengthy legal challenges by other major airlines. When it finally started services between Dallas and Houston and Dallas and San Antonio, it used three Boeing 737 aircraft and offered $20 one-way fares. Soon, the company introduced a $10 “night fare” and several other attractive schemes. In 1973, it ended the year with its first profits since starting operations and began developing a loyal customer base.

By the 1990s, this airline had become well-established as a major passenger carrier with popular campaigns that focused on families such as the “Family Fare.” By 2000, the company had moved up to number two on this famous list and had expanded its rewards program for customers. Beyond that, as the decade progressed and moved into the second decade of this century, this airline instituted a number of other discount flight initiatives that encouraged air travel and expanded its customer reach.

Assignment Details

Answer the following questions :

  1. Based on what you read here and learned on the airline’s Web site, what are the company’s strengths related to customer service?
  2. Would you fly this airline, if you have not already? Why or why not?
  3. As a current or potential customer of the airline, what would you expect as a service experience from the airline?

Advocacy letter

Preparation for writing the Advocacy Letter

1. Choose a topic that interests you.

2. If you are unsure what to advocate for or against, look at professional organizations for inspiration:

a.
APHA

b.
ANA

c.
Maryland Public Health Association

3. Look for advocacy groups that are working on the issue. We don't have to recreate the wheel.  See what strategies the advocacy groups are supporting. For example: Brady and Gifford non-profits focus on gun policy.

4. Decide if you want to make change within an agency, at the local, state or federal level. Find the decision maker appropriate to that level. Click here to
find your elected official.

5. If you are writing to a legislator, look at that person’s website to see their position on the issue. Please do not ‘preach to the choir’—that is, if they already support the issue, it does no good to throw more facts at them.

6. If you are addressing a national issue, and your legislator aligns with your proposed action, consider looking at the committee that would hear a bill about your issue.

a. If there is a proposed bill that has not been active, you can ask the chair of the committee to bring it back up in committee.

b. Click here to
check for federal bills.

7. If you are addressing a state issue, the Maryland General Assembly meets January- April of each year.

a. You can see if state bill on your issue was unsuccessful in 2018, and ask your legislator to re-introduce it in 2019.

b. Click here to
check for state bills.

8. For evidence to support your proposed action, use the One Search through HS/HSL for the broadest results. If you are still having trouble finding articles, the premier journal for public health research is called The Nation's Health.

9. Reminders from the rubric:

a. Include your ‘Ask’ clearly and concisely in the first paragraph. In busy offices, staff may not read the entire letter.

b. In the same vein, keep the letter one page. References can be on a second page.

c. Include your credentials. All of you are BSN Candidates (and add whatever other credentials you have). This adds a professional weight to your voice.

10. As always, please let me know of any questions.

Nutritional Principles in Nursing

NU117/NUR1172 Section 03 Nutritional Principles in Nursing (11 Weeks) – Online Plus – 2023 Fall Quarter

Module 01 Discussion – Dietary Likes and Dislikes Awareness

Discussion Topic

Activity Time:

2 hours

Directions:

Our nutrition and eating patterns are shaped by our perceptions of food; what we have learned to like and dislike, what we feel is healthful, and it is even formed by our family, cultural, and religious beliefs.

For this discussion, list five foods/liquids you like and five foods/liquids you don't like and/or avoid. For each you like, describe why you like them. For example, you might say I like to eat chocolate chip cookies because they remind me of my grandmother.

For the five you do not like to eat/avoid, explain why. For example, you might say I don't eat lima beans because they taste too mushy in my mouth or I don't drink milk because I am lactose intolerant, or I don't eat beef because of religious beliefs.

In addition to explaining why you don't like the five foods/liquids, also include what it would take (if possible) for you to overcome your dislike of the food/liquid.

Please make an initial post by midweek, and respond to at least two other student's posts with substantial details that demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and critical thinking. Remember that your posts must exhibit appropriate writing mechanics including using proper language, cordiality, and proper grammar and punctuation. If you refer to any outside sources or reference materials, be sure to provide proper attribution and/or citation.

Nursing concept analysis

This assignment is designed for the student to examine the antecedents, attributes, and consequences of a selected concept. The student will explore a concept, and then analyze the concept using Steps from Wilson’s Concept Analysis Walker & Avant, 2019, p.170.
